Hotel Fazenda Baía das Pedras
Tradition, Wildlife and the Soul of the Pantanal

Overview
Where wildlife, tradition, conservation and hospitality come together. Set in the heart of the Southern Pantanal, Baía das Pedras invites guests to experience the region through authentic ranch life, extraordinary wildlife encounters, and unforgettable horseback adventures across one of the Pantanal's most beautiful landscapes.
Set within 15,000 hectares of pristine wilderness in the heart of the Nhecolândia region, Baía das Pedras offers one of the most authentic and character-filled experiences in the Southern Pantanal.
More than a wildlife lodge, Baía das Pedras is a living Pantanal ranch where generations of the same family have preserved local traditions, cattle culture, and a profound connection with the land. Here, hospitality is not a service — it is part of everyday life.

Tradition, Wildlife and the Soul of the Pantanal
Surrounded by vast grasslands, wetlands, forests and the spectacular Vazante do Castelo, guests experience the Pantanal through the eyes of those who have called this landscape home for decades. Every activity reflects the rhythm of the region and its unique relationship between wildlife, ranching culture, and conservation.
Wildlife viewing is exceptional throughout the year. Giant Anteaters, Tapirs, Marsh Deer, Capybaras, Caimans, Foxes and an extraordinary diversity of birdlife are regularly observed during safaris, walks, canoe excursions and horseback rides. Baía das Pedras also supports important conservation initiatives, including partnerships with the Lowland Tapir Conservation Initiative (Projeto Anta) and the Giant Armadillo Conservation Project (Projeto Tatu-Canastra).
One of the lodge's most distinctive experiences is exploring the landscape on horseback. Riding with local Pantaneiro guides across open fields, wetlands and wildlife-rich habitats offers a genuine connection to the traditions that have shaped the region for generations.
The atmosphere is elegant yet deeply authentic. Traditional meals prepared with local ingredients, evenings sharing stories and warm family hospitality create a sense of place that few destinations can offer.
